Intensive musher training for beginners and advanced mushers on historic trails near the arctic circle in Alaska.

The Nenana Sleddog College will instruct you in the structure and organization of a sleddog kennel. You will get to know our lovebale huskies, the equipment, receive a intense training in the mushing technique and will explore the trails with your own dog team, accompanied by our guides. Imagine your sled dog adventure like an active sports class: From the easy to the demanding - with your own dog team. Our guides accompany you on the wonderful trails north of the Alaska Range.

Our program is suitable for young and old, beginners and advanced. We take care of small groups individually (approx. 4 mushers) and plan the tours depending on the skills and experience of the future mushers. No top athletic performance is required but you need to be physically fit.

Under the direction of successful and experienced mushers all activities are organized as a team. The weather is also a team player for mushing in Alaska. For this reason the planning must be flexible. We do sled dog sports, respect the four-legged athletes and train the future mushers. This includes taking care of the animals, as well as wonderful experiences on and off the trail with nature and people.

• The central starting point for our sleddog adventures is 45 miles away from Fairbanks. We have to get all necessary supplies and groceries from Shops in Fairbanks.
• We ask our customers to send special meal requests in good time before arrival. The purchase takes place about 5-7 days before the start of the tour
• Special arctic clothing as well as functional high-quality equipment are available to our customers for rent.
• The Lodge of Goldstream Husky has WiFi and electricity. We ask our customers to reduce the internet use to a minimum and only use the computer in an emergency.
